Coaches

our story

Our first encounter with each other was over an interview: Sandy was interviewing Tracey as a trainer sitting in an Akron coffee shop. The connection was instant. Since then, we’ve shared life, career, frustrations, disappointments, and spiritual wows over hundreds of hours. Move forward a few years and Sandy learned of a professional coach certification program (Lark’s Song) and dove in! Then she roped Tracey in, and two lives have never changed more! Learn more about us below. (Just know, we promise to be as serious as you need and as fun as you need in your coaching sessions!)

LIFE & TRANSITION COACHING

Sandy Gamby, ACC, BCC, LSCC

I grew up in Toledo, Ohio, married Ross in 1987, and have three amazing children (Katie, Kurt, and Kiersten) including two amazing children by marriage (Cindy and Mike). In 1998, we put down roots in Green, and then from 2014-2019, we lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where I enjoyed numerous opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Click here for more on my education and career journey.

My introduction to coaching was in 2013 when I hired a coach to assist an employee. I was so impressed that I hired him for myself … and still get coaching to this day. In 2017, my opportunity to become a certified coach came through Lark’s Song. I even began to tell people, “I finally discovered what I want to be when I grow up!” Being trained as a certified coach is one of the most fulfilling journeys I’ve ever embarked upon.

Coaching is a conversation with intent. My intent is to walk life’s challenges and sticking points with my coachees, so they can be their very best self.

There are a few things that I know to be true: Chai tea is a perfectly acceptable alternative to coffee, you should only keep recipes you rate a minimum of 8 on a 1-10 scale, healthy friendships are one of life’s best blessings, dancing to 80s music is amazingly therapeutic, Ashley Rand’s chocolate cake will rule in any bake-off, and loving yourself first is key to all of your other relationships.

My most recent favorite quote is: “It’s never too later to be what you might have been.” George Eliot

LIFE & ART COACHING

Tracey Krska, BCC, ACC, LSCC

Native to Ohio, I grew up in a very traditional home. Then married and had three children. At 40, though, I learned my grandmother went to college much later in life and then started a career in teaching. I enrolled the next day, and that experience has led me to a learner’s life. From there, I received not only my professional coaching certification, but art therapy certification as well. Topics that get me going include watercolors, enneagram, writing, interviewing, religious deconstruction, patriarchy, self awareness, limiting beliefs, and even recently dipping a toe into how neuroscience works—all things that have vastly widened where I am and where I can go.

Someone asked me once if I had an inner critic. Seriously? I have an inner choir! Yet through the tools and direction of being coached myself, I’m hearing more harmony these days. What about you? What’s distracting you from being all you dream?

We all have needs that we desire to be met. Beyond that, though, there are heart-felt dreams—sometimes those you haven’t given space to even think about. When’s the last time you gave that room to breathe and consider?

Consider this a challenge: find out what you can do about it. What is that step you need to take to move forward? We can help you there. Let’s see what we can co-create together.

I want to be a part of the people that make meaning, not the thing that is made.” Greta Gerwig
